This lot’s results
Lot L26001 · May 2026 harvest · Independently verified
Total Polyphenols
618 mg/kg
Internal standard: >400 mg/kg
The compounds olive oil research is built around. Every release tests above 400 mg/kg; most oils fall well short.
Free Fatty Acids
0.23%
Standard extra virgin limit: <0.8%
A freshness marker: lower means healthier olives, pressed quickly after harvest.
Oleic acid
78.0%
Standard extra virgin minimum: 55%
The main monounsaturated fat in olive oil. A high result means a fatty acid profile typical of genuine olive oil, and one that resists oxidation well.
Peroxide Value
3.2 meq O₂/kg
Standard extra virgin limit: ≤20 meq O₂/kg
Measures early oxidation: lower means fresher oil with its antioxidants intact.
UV Coefficients
K232 1.557 · K268 0.191
Standard extra virgin limits: K232 ≤2.50 · K268 ≤0.22
Detects hidden oxidation. Well under the limits means the oil is in peak condition.
Heavy Metals
Below detection limits
Screened every release.
Independently tested at bottling. Values shift slightly with age; stored well, the oil stays within extra virgin standards.
What makes olive oil actually healthy? Polyphenols.
Polyphenols are the compounds most closely linked to long term health, yet their levels vary widely between olive oils. Lumen One is built around them, and tested so you can see the number.
Not all olive oil is equal
Polyphenol levels, harvest timing and freshness vary widely between olive oils. Lumen One is made to protect what most olive oils lose.

04
warm gently
Use in a warm pan with simple ingredients like garlic, herbs, or vegetables. Keep the oil at a gentle shimmer.
A daily ritual,
backed by testing
High polyphenol olive oil is one of the most studied foods in nutrition science. We don't turn that research into promises. Instead, we publish what's in every bottle.

✓ Associated with lower heart disease risk in population studies (PREDIMED)
✓ Linked to healthier cholesterol and inflammatory markers
✓ Studied in relation to cognitive ageing (MIND, PREDIMED+)
The science behind our standard
Olive oil research keeps coming back to the same things: polyphenols, oxidative stress and freshness. So every release is built around what we can control.
How we build every release
Early harvest: picked when polyphenol levels peak.
Cold extracted: pressed soon after picking to keep them intact.
UV-resistant glass: light is what quietly breaks polyphenols down.
Independently tested: every release, results published.

Lumen One is made for people who want consistency, not guesswork.
Every release is tested to confirm 400+ mg/kg of polyphenols, with naturally high oleic acid and low free fatty acids. That means antioxidant rich oil you can rely on, release after release.
Each release is independently lab tested, and every choice, from early harvest timing to UV-resistant glass, is designed to preserve quality from harvest to your daily ritual.
Polyphenols are the natural antioxidant compounds found in olive oil, and the ones most studied in nutrition research.
They are a defining feature of the olive oils in Mediterranean style dietary patterns, which have been widely studied in relation to long-term health.
Many mass-market olive oils are low in polyphenols. Lumen One tests at over 400mg/kg, so each tablespoon delivers a meaningful amount.
Yes, but this oil is not about "notes of fig and pepper." It is naturally robust, grassy, and bold, which is exactly what high-polyphenol EVOO should taste like.
That gentle bitterness and peppery kick are natural signs of freshness and high polyphenol levels. If you are used to mild supermarket oil, the flavour may feel more intense at first. For most people, that depth quickly becomes part of the ritual.
Each bottle is 375ml, about 25 tablespoon serves, so it lasts roughly a month for one person taking it daily. If a few people in your home use it, you will get through it faster, which is why many order a few bottles at a time.
Lumen One is not currently certified organic.
The olives are mechanically extracted and cold extracted below 28°C on the day of harvest. During pressing, the skins and solid material are removed, which is where residues are more likely to be found, leaving the oil fraction itself.
Every release is independently lab tested as part of our quality standards. As we grow, we may explore certified organic releases in future. For now, our focus is on freshness, verified polyphenol levels, and producing an olive oil made for consistent daily use.
